To tell the age of a Pez dispenser you look at the Patent Number on the side of the Stem. If the Patent Number is 2,620,061 then it was produced from 1952-1968. Patent Number is 3,410,455 then it was produced from 1968-1974. Patent Number is 3,845,882 then it was produced from 1974-1976. Patent Number is 3,942,683 then it was produced from 1976-1989. Pez started to put "feet" on their Pez dispensers in the late 80's so they would stand up better. The "No Feet" Pez are considered "Vintage". Some more recent pez like Valentine hearts have no feet and are not considered Vintage.
